Reflections on Innovation
As the Bezos Center for Innovation was being designed and built Olson Kundig and MOHAI asked Stimulant to create an anchor exhibit that could be experienced either at the beginning or end of the exhibit. We designed the experience to inspire visitors to reflect upon being an innovator, even in everyday life. The experience was designed to be at the end of a hallway and used mirrors, touchscreen overlay, and displays to literally reflect the visitor as they walked towards the exit. As visitors approach the exhibit a real-time particle system is displayed reflecting the visitors actual movements. Once close enough, the exhibit's user interface is displayed at the appropriate height for each individual approaching. This was critical to allow for use by a wide range of visitors.
The exhibit featured three custom puzzles crafted around a key pillar of innovation, one even requiring that two visitors (likely strangers) collaborate and work together. Check out the video below for a walk-through of the experience.
